Jeff's Pirate Cove
Out and About in Guam
Drew and I spent the day with what could be seen as the Mommy Brigade. A bunch of us moms and kids caravanned from Andersen AFB to Jeff's Pirate Cove halfway down the island. (Jeff's is a restaurant tucked away from the main shopping district.) We ate lunch on the covered patio and then let the kids play on the beach. Drew and I saw our first Sea Cucumber...which actually looks like a big squishy black blob. They are harmless -- well as far as we know but I will not be touching them to find out for sure. This island is full of critters that we have never encountered before!

Goodbyes, still tough
Everyday we seem to be saying goodbye to another friend and another part of our lives in WA. We are sitting in our hotel room and technically homeless. Our history is packed into 10 cargo crates and heading overseas. We've been told that we can expect to see our beds, furniture and all the little things that make our house our home September 2nd. For now what we need is folded, stacked and depending upon the day, crammed into 10 pieces of luggage, 5 carry-on bags and two laptop carriers. I look forward to our next adventure but will so miss our little world we've created here in the Pacific Northwest.
